UK Telecommunications (Security) Act 2021 r4a: reg.4(1) to (4)(a) Protect operational data and network functions, and keep privileged workstations away from incoming signals

What does r4a require?

Network and service providers must use appropriate technical means to protect stored data relating to the operation of the network or service and the network functions under their control, from anything involving a risk of security compromise. In particular, workstations through which significant changes can be made to security critical functions must not be exposed to incoming signals (or, when used remotely, to any signals beyond those needed to make authorised changes).
