UK Security and Emergency Measures Direction (SEMD) - Water Industry 4.4: Basis of water supply plans

What does 4.4 require?

Water supply plans assume the company continues all (or as many as possible) of its supply functions; provides the minimum supply by alternative means that the appropriate authority notifies when piped supply fails; for a licensee unable to supply, has agreements with each customer and the undertaker for supply by the undertaker; identifies and prioritises vulnerable customers and (for undertakers) vulnerable sites; and has regard to non-domestic users and notified critical national infrastructure sites.
