A body accredited by the Commissioner to monitor compliance with an approved PECR code of conduct must take appropriate action when a person infringes the code, and if it suspends or excludes a person from the code it must inform the Commissioner with reasons. Accreditation is revoked if the body stops meeting the requirements (independence, expertise, eligibility, monitoring and review procedures, complaint handling, published procedures and no conflict of interest) or fails in these duties.
