UK Concordat on Open Research Data (UKRI) P7.1: Curation, metadata and discoverability

What does P7.1 require?

Data is curated so others can use it and it can be preserved long term, through appropriate means (peer review, community formats and standards, repository deposit, descriptions or data articles), in repositories that guarantee persistence for a reasonable period, with landing pages and sufficient metadata on how data was collected, processed and quality controlled, using open standards compatible with discovery tools, within reasonable resource bounds (Principle 7).
