Uganda Occupational Safety and Health Act 2006
Parts XIV and XV: Offences, penalties, legal proceedings, the General Register and miscellaneous (sections 99 to 121) – Uganda Occupational Safety and Health Act 2006

Uganda Occupational Safety and Health Act 2006 112-114: General Register: kept available for inspection at every workplace in the prescribed form, holding the certificate of registration, every other certificate the Commissioner issues for the workplace and the prescribed particulars of every notifiable accident and occupational disease, with extracts sent to an inspector on request, entries admissible against the occupier and missing entries evidence of non-observance, and all registers and records preserved for at least five years after the last entry

What does 112-114 require?

Every workplace keeps a General Register in the prescribed form available for inspection, with the certificate of registration, every other certificate the Commissioner issues for the workplace and the prescribed particulars of each notifiable accident and occupational disease case kept in or with it (the Minister may exempt classes of temporary workplace); the occupier sends an inspector the extracts required for their duties. Entries the occupier makes, or has made, in the General Register or any other register or record count as evidence against the occupier of the facts they state, and the absence of a required entry is evidence that the Act was not observed; the General Register and every other register or record kept under the Act are preserved and kept available for inspection for at least five years after the last entry, or such other period as is prescribed. The examination reports and certificates for hoists, lifts, lifting equipment, boilers and receivers required by Part XI are entered in or attached to this register.
