South Africa National Policy on Data and Cloud (2024) 15.3.2: Take appropriate security measures and adhere to South African data protection law in providing data and cloud services

What does 15.3.2 require?

Government and the private sector put appropriate security measures in place and follow South African data protection law and protocols when they provide data and cloud services, and together with data and cloud service providers make sure the data and cloud security measures and protocols in place are robust enough to blunt cyber attacks and privacy violations. Cloud providers are transparent about their credentials, licences and certificates, and consent requests and service level agreements are intelligible to customers.
