No person may become a 20% controller of a Singapore-incorporated licensee without MAS's prior approval, given only if the person is fit and proper and the licensee will stay prudent; approval may carry conditions on further acquisitions or voting. A refused person must cease control within the period set, and a person served with a notice of objection must comply with it.
