Singapore MAS Guidelines on Artificial Intelligence Risk Management (2026)
Section 6 AI capability and capacity: personnel and technology infrastructure (paragraphs 6.1 to 6.3) – Singapore MAS Guidelines on Artificial Intelligence Risk Management (2026)

Singapore MAS Guidelines on Artificial Intelligence Risk Management (2026) 6.3: Ensure technology infrastructure (processing units, network, memory, secure data pipelines) is adequate for the performance, scalability and resilience needs of each AI use case, system or model, under MAS technology risk guidelines and relevant industry frameworks

What does 6.3 require?

The technology underneath AI must be adequate for the use cases, systems and models the FI intends to run. AI systems carry the same technology risks as any other system, availability, resilience, safety and cyber among them, so the FI confirms that processing units, network, memory and secure data pipelines meet the performance, scalability and resilience that each use case demands, guided by the MAS technology risk guidelines and notices and by industry frameworks such as the infrastructure elements of the NIST AI Risk Management Framework.
