Singapore MAS Guidelines on Artificial Intelligence Risk Management (2026)
Section 3 AI oversight: board, senior management and local management responsibilities (paragraphs 3.1 to 3.6) – Singapore MAS Guidelines on Artificial Intelligence Risk Management (2026)

Singapore MAS Guidelines on Artificial Intelligence Risk Management (2026) 3.6: Local senior management stays accountable for Singapore considerations when group frameworks are adopted, with visibility, input, timely reports, escalation paths for local issues and the ability to demonstrate oversight to MAS

What does 3.6 require?

Adopting a group framework for Singapore does not shift accountability: local senior management remains answerable for the framework covering Singapore-specific considerations and regulatory requirements. Local management must be able to see and shape matters affecting the Singapore operations, with timely access to the reports and data behind AI risk decisions, and clear escalation routes must bring Singapore-specific issues to the people responsible so that they are decided and resolved promptly. Local management must also be able to show MAS how it exercises its oversight even while relying on the group.
