Every adopting entity has primary responsibility for publishing its AI ethics documents in compliance with the principles and designates people to carry out AI ethics activities. The Head of Entity or Chief Data Officer approves and oversees the AI Ethics Plan, designates roles, approves the annual AI ethics report, resolves or delegates issues raised by the compliance officer and is the point of contact with SDAIA, escalating pending issues. The Chief Compliance Officer or Compliance Officer, reporting to the CDO, oversees the drafting of the AI Ethics Plan and presents it to the head, reviews performance for improvement, reviews identification and prioritisation activities, monitors the AI ethics KPIs of in-house systems and of third-party systems, ensures maintenance is performed, ensures compliance with national regulations including data classification, data privacy and freedom of information, and secures third-party compliance through contractual guarantees. The Responsible AI Officer develops the plan with its prioritisation methodology, targets and KPIs, collaborates on data management, governance and protection, defines and maintains AI ethics priorities and procedures, and educates and raises awareness across employees. The AI System Assessor reviews communication channels and stakeholder interactions for disclosure and feedback, periodically reviews the AI ethics process and documentation, continuously reviews KPIs and publishes audit reports covering development, deployment and third-party procurement.
