Saudi Arabia SDAIA AI Ethics Principles (Version 2.0, 2025) 6.PD: Transparency and Explainability in Plan and Design: inform affected stakeholders, give access to understandable rationale, set transparency levels, build an information section and a complaints mechanism

What does 6.PD require?

Stakeholders affected by the system are fully aware of how outcomes are processed and have access to an understandable, contextual explanation of the rationale for its decisions, which are traceable; the owner defines the level of transparency for each stakeholder group according to data privacy, sensitivity and authorisation. The platform includes an information section giving an overview of the model's decisions, information is shared with end-users and stakeholders on request or publicly depending on the system and market, and a process logs and addresses issues and complaints transparently.
