What does 6-48.1-5(f) and 6-48.1-6(b)(7) require?

Customers exercise rights through secure and reliable means the controller establishes and describes in its privacy notice. A customer may designate an authorised agent to opt out on their behalf, and the controller must honour an agent's opt-out if it can verify the customer's identity and the agent's authority; parents or legal guardians act for a known child, and guardians or conservators for a customer under a protective arrangement. Applies to for-profit entities doing business in Rhode Island or targeting products or services to its residents that in the preceding calendar year controlled or processed personal data of at least 35,000 customers (excluding data processed solely to complete a payment) or of at least 10,000 customers while deriving more than 20 percent of gross revenue from selling personal data.
