Queensland Property Law Act 2023 229-233: Service of documents: general requirements and electronic communication

What does 229-233 require?

Documents under the Act or a property agreement may be served on an individual personally, by leaving at or posting to the last known residence or business address, or by electronic communication to an electronic address the person has designated for the purpose; on a body corporate at its registered office or as the Corporations Act allows; and section 233 sets the conditions for electronic service (the communication attaches the document or includes its content in the required form, and is sent to the designated address). The Division applies subject to other Acts and any agreement (section 230).
