Queensland Body Corporate and Community Management Act 1997 s182-183: ss 182 and 183 Continuing and future contravention notices for by-law breaches

Where the body corporate reasonably believes an owner or occupier is contravening a by-law in a way likely to continue, it may give a continuing contravention notice stating the belief, the by-law, enough detail to identify the contravention, a reasonable time to remedy and that proceedings may follow; for a past breach likely to repeat it may give a future contravention notice, effective for up to 3 months. If the notice follows an owner's request, the body corporate must tell the requester within 14 days that it was given. A person given a valid notice must comply or commits an offence.
