Personal data relating to ethnic origin, children, health, physical or psychological condition, religious creeds, marital relations and criminal offences is of a special nature, and the Minister may add other types whose misuse or disclosure may cause serious damage; such data may be processed only after obtaining the permission of the Competent Department under the measures and controls set by ministerial decision, and the Minister may impose additional precautions. Processing without the permit carries a fine of up to QAR 5,000,000.
