Principles for Doing Business at Lloyd's P1a.2: 1a.2 Legacy business plans aligned with the business strategy

Legacy business plans are developed and executed in line with strategy. Baseline: the plan aligns with the medium to long term strategy and appetite; it is kept under review with KPIs reported to the board; variances are acted on with root cause analysis; and the underlying drivers are fed back into the due diligence process for future transactions. Higher levels add identification of positive and adverse variation, regular review drawing on other functions, and thematic findings from operational KPIs fed back into due diligence with training.
