PEGI - Pan European Game Information Age Rating System PEGIRT-2: PEGI Content Descriptors (Violence, Sex, Drugs, Language, Fear, Gambling, Discrimination, In-Game Purchases)

Per PEGI: apply content descriptors. PEGI content descriptors provide reasons for age rating: (1) Violence descriptor when game contains depictions of violence + (2) Bad Language descriptor when game contains coarse language + (3) Fear/Horror descriptor when game contains scenes that may be frightening + (4) Sexual Content descriptor when game contains nudity or sexual references/behaviour + (5) Drugs descriptor when game refers to or depicts drug use + (6) Discrimination descriptor when game contains depictions of or material that may encourage discrimination + (7) Gambling descriptor when game contains elements that encourage or teach gambling + (8) In-Game Purchases descriptor when game offers ability to purchase digital goods/services with real-world currency. Requirements include (a) assess content against each descriptor category + (b) apply applicable descriptors to product + display alongside age rating + (c) include 'In-Game Purchases (Includes Random Items)' descriptor where loot box / surprise mechanics present + (d) maintain documentation of descriptor decisions.
