Scorecard checks whether the project is actively maintained: an archived repository scores lowest; at least one commit a week over the previous 90 days scores highest; issue activity by collaborators, members or owners earns partial credit. Projects younger than 90 days are not assessed. A low score is a prompt for users to investigate, since some small utilities legitimately need no maintenance.
