Standard B: Acceptable Use – NSW AI Operational Policy (2026)

NSW AI Operational Policy (2026) 6.1.2: 6.1.2 Ensure meaningful human oversight

Treat AI outputs as advisory and not the sole basis for decisions, applying more oversight to higher-risk decisions and keeping human judgement; have an authorised human decision-maker review any AI output used to inform or make decisions affecting a person's rights, interests or access to services; and apply human oversight and strict controls where AI systems can plan, decide or act autonomously.
