What does 1.1-RET require?

Before any sanitization of ISM, system owners are urged to check with the designated privacy officials, Freedom of Information Act officers and local records retention offices so that record retention regulations and the Federal Records Act are complied with, and to consult organisational management so that historical information the business needs is captured and kept. Controls may need adjusting as the system and its operating environment change.
