NIST SP 800-46 Rev 2 Enterprise Telework, Remote Access and BYOD Security 5.1.3: Educate teleworkers, define their responsibilities and provide help and secure communications

What does 5.1.3 require?

Users are educated on the additional security measures telework requires and their responsibilities are defined in policy and telework agreements; help is available at all times for telework security questions and users know how to reach it. Telephone and voice guidance is also set: cordless phones use spread-spectrum scrambling, digital mobile phones are acceptable for typical telework, and voice over IP is not treated as secure unless encrypted, with any encryption used certified to NIST requirements.
