New Zealand Information Security Manual (NZISM) 15.2.36.C.01: 15.2.36.C.01 DMARC implementation prerequisites

Before implementing DMARC, agencies must: (1) create a DMARC policy; (2) produce a list of all their domains, especially any used to send or receive email; (3) review how SPF and DKIM are configured on every active domain and every published domain; and (4) set up at least one monitored inbox for receiving DMARC reports.
