New Zealand Information Security Manual (NZISM) 13.2.9.C.01: 13.2.9.C.01 Conditions for classifying media below its connected system

Agencies that intend to classify media lower than the system it is connected to must ensure one of the following: the media itself is read-only; the media is placed in a device that only permits reading; or the system has a way to guarantee read-only access, for example approved data diodes, write-blockers or comparable infrastructure.
