Chapter 12: Product Security – New Zealand Information Security Manual (NZISM)

New Zealand Information Security Manual (NZISM) 12.1.30.C.01: 12.1.30.C.01 Mandatory preference order for evaluated products

For CONFIDENTIAL, SECRET and TOP SECRET systems, agencies must choose products following this ranked order: first, a product evaluated against a protection profile (PP); second, a product that has finished an AISEP evaluation or is recognised under the Common Criteria Recognition Arrangement (CCRA); third, a product currently under AISEP evaluation; fourth, a product under evaluation in a scheme whose result the GCSB will recognise once the evaluation finishes. Where a product fits none of these categories, agencies must contact the GCSB.
