New Zealand Information Security Manual (NZISM) 11.8.12.C.01: 11.8.12.C.01 Decommissioning MFD components holding data per Chapter 13

For CONFIDENTIAL, SECRET and TOP SECRET systems, when MFDs are decommissioned, any storage devices, drums, memory chips from cartridges, or other parts that might hold data or document copies must be disposed of using the disposal processes in Chapter 13 (covering management, decommissioning and disposal of media and IT equipment).
