New Zealand Information Security Manual (NZISM) 10.6.27.C.01: Fibre fly lead length and long-lead conditions

What does 10.6.27.C.01 require?

For CONFIDENTIAL, SECRET and TOP SECRET systems, agencies should make sure fibre optic fly leads connecting wall outlets to IT equipment either (a) are no longer than 5m, or (b) where longer than 5m: are run in a protective, easily inspected pathway within the fixed infrastructure of the facility; carry a clear label at the equipment end giving the wall outlet designator; and have been approved by the Accreditation Authority.
