New York Rules of Professional Conduct Rule 1.15 Attorney Trust Accounts (22 NYCRR Part 1200) 1.15(b)(3)-(4): Rule 1.15(b)(3) and (4) Bank charges funds and mixed or disputed funds

Money reasonably enough to maintain the account or pay its charges may be placed in it. Money belonging partly to a client or third person and partly to the lawyer or firm stays in the special account, and the lawyer's portion may be withdrawn when due, except that a portion the client or third person disputes stays there until the dispute is finally resolved.
