Netherlands GDPR Implementation Act (UAVG - Uitvoeringswet AVG, 2018) 23: Art. 23 Rely on the national general exceptions for special categories only in their cases

Under GDPR art. 9(2)(g) the prohibition does not apply where processing is necessary to meet an obligation of public international law (23(a)); where the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, the Netherlands Institute for Human Rights or an ombudsman under art. 9:17 Awb processes the data as necessary for its statutory tasks, with safeguards against disproportionate harm to privacy (23(b)); or where processing is necessary in addition to processing of criminal-offence data for the purposes for which those are processed (23(c)).
