Controllers and processors must give the Agency's inspectors access to personal data, files and other documentation, and to premises and electronic processing equipment, and deliver the files and documentation requested. Refusal is a misdemeanour under Article 89 and non-cooperation can attract an administrative fine of up to 2,000,000 euros or 4 percent of worldwide turnover under Article 88(3).
