Legal and natural persons must comply with the supervisory authority's requirements (including to come to its premises to give explanations), provide information, explanations, copies of documents and data without delay, and give access to all data, equipment and documents relating to the processing that the authority needs. The State Data Protection Inspectorate may obtain all such material free of charge, enter the premises and territory of a legal person without prior warning during working hours on showing a civil servant's certificate, and use technical means and the police. Since 1 July 2024 the authority's decisions and notices are validly served through the national e-delivery system (E. pristatymas), by registered post to the address in the Register of Legal Persons or to the head's residence, in person, to contact details given in writing, or to e-mail and electronic addresses used in public e-service systems, and are treated as received on the next working day for electronic delivery.
