LEED v4.1 - Green Building Rating System (US Green Building Council) WEc3: WE Credit: Optimize Process Water Use

What does WEc3 require?

1 to 2 points (1 to 3 CS); applies to all eight BD+C adaptations. For cooling towers and evaporative condensers, analyse makeup water for five parameters (calcium, alkalinity, silica, chloride, conductivity) and run the maximum cycles without exceeding limits, adding points for 25 to 30% more cycles or 20 to 30% recycled non-potable makeup; or cut cooling water use 25 to 50% below a baseline water-cooled chiller; and/or meet 20 to 30% (40% CS) of process water demand from recycled alternative water where process uses are at least 10% of regulated water.
