Lebanon Electronic Transactions and Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 81/2018) 45: Article 45: systems that store orders, identify the originator and report acceptance or rejection

What does 45 require?

The electronic means used must be able to transmit and store the payment or transfer order so that client and institution can refer to it. Institutions must use a technical system that identifies who issued the order and proves the client sent it, and an information system that immediately tells the ordering party in writing whether the order was accepted or rejected and why; where a material error caused the rejection, the possibility and method of correcting it must be stated. Banque du Liban sets the basic standards of that system.
