Part 2 C: Common Guiding Principles – Japan AI Guidelines

Japan AI Guidelines C6.3: 6)(3) Reasonable and sincere response

What does C6.3 require?

Information provision under 6)(2) does not necessarily mean disclosing algorithms or source code; it is done within a range that is socially reasonable for the technology and use, respecting privacy and trade secrets, while still meeting the explainability item 6)(4) and accountability 7). When using published (open) technologies, conform to their rules; when releasing a developed AI system as open source, consider the social impact.
