IWA 48:2024 6.4: Report the social KPIs, first priority for all and second priority as maturity allows

What does 6.4 require?

The social indicators span satisfaction of personnel, diversity, health and safety, training and development, engagement, investment in the community, respect for human rights and the social effect of accessibility on customers and communities. Nine first-priority indicators apply to organisations of every size: how many work-related incidents of discrimination, hatred or violence occurred in the year; the pay gap between genders; the proportion of senior managers drawn from diverse groups who met the competency requirements; the proportion of products and services that meet accessibility standards; the proportion of personnel who had a regular performance and career development review in the year; the proportion of senior managers who are women; the average number of weeks of paid parental leave; the proportion of personnel who come from diverse groups; and the proportion of personnel who took part in interviews or surveys about their experience of the workplace. Two second-priority indicators are aspirational: the proportion of the year's charitable giving that goes to the local and regional community, and the hours personnel spend on volunteering or charitable initiatives led by the organisation as a proportion of all personnel hours.
