Part 129: Brokering – ITAR - International Traffic in Arms Regulations

ITAR - International Traffic in Arms Regulations 129.7: Never broker for proscribed countries or listed persons without approval, and report such activity

What does 129.7 require?

No person, registered or not, may engage in or propose brokering activities involving any 126.1 country, area or person, or countries or persons identified by Federal Register notice (for example debarred individuals), without DDTC approval, which is normally denied, and the 129.5 exemptions do not apply; anyone who knows or has reason to know of such brokering must immediately inform DDTC (129.7).
