Where the AIMS is integrated with other management systems (information security, privacy, risk or quality), the certification body applies ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015, 9.1.6 and IAF MD 11: it may accept integrated documentation provided the AIMS can be clearly identified together with its interfaces to the other systems; it accepts a joint audit only where it can show that every requirement for granting AIMS certification has been met; at stage 1 it verifies the interfaces and the consistency of the controls applied across the integrated systems (for example with ISO 9001 or ISO/IEC 27001); and any reduction in audit time for integration is justified.
