Production delivers ESI, or makes it available, to the requesting party or to any other person or organization, in appropriate forms and through appropriate delivery mechanisms. Its objectives are to produce responsive ESI in a form reasonably usable by the requesting party or in the form the parties agree, following procedures usually settled during initial project planning, with account taken of the recipient's technical capability to view and analyse what is delivered and of cost, which depends on volume and on the form chosen.
