A policy statement on data governance meets ISO 8000-51 when it satisfies all four items of clause 5: the issuing organization's authoritative legal entity identifier, that identifier's conformance to ISO 8000-116, the statement's own unique ISO 8000-115 identifier, and the reference to the computer-processable data specification the governed data must meet. Annex B shows how an organization can keep a register of such statements.
