Performance evaluation means the process, or processes, comparing what the organization achieves against what it intended, and intended results can include continually improving OH&S performance, meeting OH&S objectives and fulfilling legal and other requirements. The organization should bear in mind that many sources can feed the evaluation (see 5.3) and should consider using a variety of them, because a single source on its own can give an incomplete or inaccurate picture. Clause A.3 illustrates processes that help reach intended results.
