Clause 4 Field of application: the Statement of Application and business partners – ISO 28001:2007 Supply Chain Security Management

ISO 28001:2007 Supply Chain Security Management 4.3: 4.3 Internationally accepted certificates or approvals

Transport companies and facilities that hold internationally recognised certificates or approvals granted under the compulsory international conventions on security in the transport sectors already have security practices, plans and processes that satisfy the relevant requirements of this standard, and need not be audited to show this. In the case of ships, port facilities and shipping companies, these certificates or approvals shall have been issued under SOLAS regulation XI-2/4 or XI-2/10, whichever applies. National customs agencies may nonetheless demand extra measures before designating an AEO.
