Objective CLD.9.5 (access control of customer data in shared virtual environments): reduce the security risk that comes from sharing a virtualised cloud environment. Control, in substance: each customer's virtual environment in the cloud service is to be shielded so that neither other tenants nor anyone unauthorised can reach it. Cloud service customer: no additional guidance. Cloud service provider: enforce appropriate logical segregation of customer data, virtualised applications, operating systems, storage and network, both to separate resources used by different customers in multi-tenant environments and to separate the provider's internal administration from resources used by customers; where the service involves multi-tenancy, implement controls ensuring proper isolation of resources used by different tenants, and consider the risks of running customer-supplied software within the services it offers. Other information: logical segregation depends on the virtualisation technology, for example virtualised network and storage configuration with software segregation functions, or access control on a metadata table where customer data shares physical storage; secure multi-tenancy and ISO/IEC 27040 guidance apply.
This control maps to 1 controls across 1 other frameworks. If you already hold one of them, the evidence you collected for it is the starting point here rather than new work.
Every mapping shown was judged rather than inferred from wording similarity, and the ones that failed review are published too. See the coverage reports and what was rejected.
The graph holds this control, the 1 it maps to, and the evidence behind each claim, over MCP and REST.
