Clause 6: Planning – ISO 22313:2020 - Guidance on Business Continuity Management Systems

ISO 22313:2020 - Guidance on Business Continuity Management Systems 6.2.2: 6.2.2 Determining business continuity objectives

Guidance that each business continuity objective spells out the work to be done, the resources it needs, who owns it, the date by which it is finished and how its results are judged. The standard offers examples that, suitably adapted, can satisfy ISO 22301: top management providing the resources for a conforming BCMS covering every product and service by a given date; a named director achieving ISO 22301 certification for named products and services by a given date; top management putting business continuity in place to honour its obligations to named customers by a given date; the IT director working with suppliers to shorten by ten percent the recovery time of the activities behind named products; and the production manager introducing conforming business continuity management for named products, with no extra resources, by a given date.
