ISO 22003-1:2022 Requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of food safety management systems
Annex A: Classification of food chain categories – ISO 22003-1:2022 Requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of food safety management systems

ISO 22003-1:2022 Requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of food safety management systems A: Use of Table A.1 food chain categories

What does A require?

The body uses Table A.1 to define the subcategories (or categories where none) in which it wishes to operate, to identify those to which a client's scope is audited and certified, to assess auditor and team competence per subcategory under Annex C, to set audit duration under Annex B, and to identify the applicable PRPs. A client scope may span several subcategories. Where a scheme owner has its own category rules those apply, provided they are not less than this annex.
