In line with its stated objectives and policies, the laboratory shall keep raising the effectiveness of its management system, covering the work before, during and after examination. It shall find and choose improvement opportunities, and shall develop, document and carry out actions aimed first at the areas that risk assessment ranks highest; judge whether those actions worked; involve people in improvement work that extends to outcomes of patient care; and tell staff about improvement plans and the goals attached to them.
