ISO 11616:2017 10: Conceptual model

What does 10 require?

Clause 10 is the conceptual model. It follows the identifier clauses and brings the classes and relationships into one view, so a reader can see how the medicinal product, the package component, the pharmaceutical product and the investigational product relate. The public contents give the title and its position at the end of the normative clauses. The model itself is not in the public preview, so the classes and relationships it shows are not stated in the text we hold. The value of a conceptual model clause is that it lets a non-specialist check the logic of a data flow without reading every construction rule. It is the page a privacy office should ask for first when a vendor says its product data model is aligned to the standard.
