Section D Training of the MNE Declaration (Paragraphs 31-33) covers MNE responsibility for training and skills development. Para 31: MNEs should provide relevant training for all levels of their employees in the host country to meet the needs of the enterprise + relevant national development policies. Training should where possible develop generally useful skills + promote career opportunities. Para 32: MNEs in cooperation with national authorities + employers and workers organisations should participate in programmes including special funds + encouraged by host country governments + supported by employers and workers organisations to promote skills formation and development as well as vocational guidance and should as appropriate make their special skills available to vocational training institutions on terms acceptable to all parties. Para 33: MNEs in developing countries should provide management training appropriate to the host country and progressively integrate participation in management and managerial development of nationals of the host country at all levels including senior management.
