IEEE 1686 A: Table of conformance for the IED

What does A require?

The supplier furnishes a table of conformance (Annex A gives the example form; the 2013 and 2007 editions called it a table of compliance) listing every subclause of clause 5 on its own line with the supplier's response and comments. The 2013-form declaration shows the construction: each subclause answered Acknowledge (no requirement in the subclause), Exception (one or more requirements not met), Comply (fully met) or Exceed (one or more exceeded), per product variant and tool, with a reference to where the capability is described. Utilities use the table in procurement to verify an IED before installation and commissioning; this edition speaks of conformance rather than compliance.
