What does 7:NSM require?

Part 7 defines abstract network and system management data objects, the MIB-like information deemed mandatory, recommended or optional to manage the information infrastructure and detect security problems end to end, covering communication networks, intelligent electronic devices and protocols, assuming the SNMP client-agent model without presuming SNMP, and mappable to IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5, IEC 60870-6, SNMP or web services, with an SNMP mapping provided; for the information infrastructure the objects play the role that the object models of IEC 61850 and CIM play elsewhere.
