IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) Standards Manual SEC 3.1: Access Control

What does SEC 3.1 require?

Where the Operator exclusively controls airside or security restricted areas, an identification verification system prevents unauthorised access; measures keep staff and vehicles going to or leaving the aircraft under control and supervision; and access control and screening as mandated by the State prevent unauthorised weapons, explosives or dangerous items reaching the aircraft (SEC 3.1.1 to 3.1.3).
