IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) Standards Manual CAB 3.1: CAB 3.1 Cabin Crew Requirements

A minimum number of cabin crew is specified per aircraft type for a safe and expeditious evacuation and emergency functions, not less than the Authority's minimum; multi-crew aircraft have a designated qualified cabin crew leader with overall responsibility; cabin and flight crew communicate in the designated common language; flight time, duty periods and rest are recorded and retained; duty time elements are defined; and a fitness policy prevents assignment when impaired by pregnancy, illness, fatigue, medication, alcohol or other factors (CAB 3.1.1 to 3.1.7).
